Professional experience

With more than 30 years of experience in auditing and corporate finance, as a specialist in IFRS and US GAAP, and for more than 21 years as a partner at Deloitte, he led complex audits, due diligence processes, SOX compliance, financial planning, and advisory services for boards of directors and senior management at companies across multiple industries.

He led the teams involved in Lan Chile S.A.’s initial public offering (IPO) of American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 1997, directly overseeing the process at the cargo transportation subsidiaries in Chile and the United States.

In 2012, he participated in the registration process for Grupo Echeverría Izquierdo S.A. and its subsidiaries with the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance (SVS; now the CMF), which marked the start of the process to issue bonds on the Chilean market in the amount of UF1,000,000, a process that concluded in December 2018.

From 2000 to 2004, he led the audit teams at Telefónica Chile S.A. and its subsidiaries, actively participating in Telefónica Móvil’s acquisition of BellSouth Chile’s assets. This acquisition, part of a larger regional purchase in 2004, made the company the leader in the Chilean mobile market with a market share of nearly 48%, following regulatory approval.

In 2004, he led the process known as “Vendor Due Diligence” for the sale of the Chilevisión network by the Claxson Group to one of the companies owned by former Chilean President Sebastián Piñera for US$24,000,000.

He led the process of aligning the financial statements of ENAP and its subsidiaries with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
